ReviewWhen a punter at a strip club goes all mental and turns into a werewolf, one of the girls stabs him in the eye with a silver pen. The rest of his pack swear vengeance and the strippers plan to protect themselves. Neither side knows that one stripper and one werewolf are in love. There have been some fantastic horror/comedy titles around (the legendarily brilliant ZOMBIE STRIPPERS and LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS to name but two) and they have always been attached to films that were far less brilliant than the titles. LESBIANS VS WEREWOLVES continues that trend in spades. There is very, very little good to be said about STRIPPERS VS WEREWOLVES. On the horror front it's about as scary as a bag of cotton wool. On the comedy front it's a funny as undergoing a lobotomy and in terms of eroticism, well there isn't any. The film is set in a strip club that apparently doesn't go in for stripping. The makeup is OK, and there is blood and guts, but nothing that any self-respecting horror fan is going to be interested in. The film even resorts to jamming in a series of pointless cameo appearances (Robert Englund, Steven Berkoff, Alan Ford, Martin Kemp) in an attempt to up the wattage factor, but they aren't given enough screen time to do anything other than embarrass themselves and show that the main players aren't up to much. Hell, one of the selling points is topless model Lucy Pinder who doesn't go topless! It's going for a comic book romp feel and comes off as poor pantomime. The script is scattergun and goes off all over the place, missing every target that it shoots at. The most merciful factor is that it's over after only 93 minutes. The trailer comes across as looking like it might be fun, but you can do yourself a big favour by not getting taken in by either the great title or the OK trailer. This is just a bad movie.
